Terranigma Magirock Locations
Terranigma Magirock locations organized into a 97-entry checklist, including pin rewards, version differences, missable stones, mini-games, and late areas.
On this page+
There are 96 obtainable Magirocks in non-Japanese releases and 97 in the Japanese version. The extra Japanese stone is the Quintet building quiz reward. Use the running totals below to check field pickups and multi-stone Pin rewards without counting every “receive another stone” message as a separate location.
How this checklist counts Magirocks
The list combines three kinds of acquisition:
- visible or hidden field pickups;
- mini-game and conversation rewards;
- Pins that award several Magirocks at once.
A Pin's value is included as multiple stones because it increases the same Magirock pool used at magic shops. The running total follows the 97-slot community checklist; players outside the Japanese version should subtract one after the Quintet quiz row.

| Bone Pin | 1 | 33 | Receive the Pin from Kumari. |
For the terrain-sensitive Zue pickup and exact altar order, follow the Zue walkthrough. The Eklemata walkthrough places all four stones around the avalanche route.

Town expansion affects access to several later stones. Complete character requests before expecting expanded Freedom or Litz rewards to appear, and treat Bell's conversation choice as a real collection checkpoint.
Late-game locations
| Area or reward | Count | Running total | How to find it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Great Lakes Cavern | 1 | 77 | In the room you flood; collect it from the island after the water rises. |

| Dragoon Castle | 3 | 84 | Dungeon lower-left; across the lower pits in the east wing; side island in the east-wing sewer. |
| Mosque | 1 | 85 | Back room of the upper-right house. |
| Nirlake, second expansion | 1 | 86 | Beside the building in the upper-right part of the rebuilt town. |

| Beruga's Lab Tower | 1 | 97 | Room immediately before the second staircase. |
The final total is 97 for the Japanese version and 96 for other versions because they do not contain the Quintet quiz reward.
Collection checks that prevent the most mistakes
- Zue: take the dry-riverbed stone before activating the third Rainfall Altar.
- Freedom: tell Bell the truth about Amanda if you want his Magirock.
- Growing towns: Freedom, Litz, Nirlake, and Suncoast rewards depend on reaching the required expansion stage.
- Pins: Grass, Wind, Bone, both Water Pins, and the Horn Pin account for 23 stones; do not count each Pin as only one.
- Version total: stop at 96 outside Japan. A missing 97th stone is not evidence that your save is broken.
Sources and verification limits
This checklist was reconciled on September 20, 2026 with the RPGClassics 97-slot location list and the Terranigma.be map and NPC data. The second source distinguishes the Japanese-only quiz reward and the 96/97 version totals. Location names follow the English release; translated releases may label items and towns differently.
Read the Magirocks, Rings, and Pins guide for how stones return after a spell is used, or the main walkthrough for these locations in story order.
