The short answer: save before the portraits, clear the doll sequence correctly, bring recovery, and use safe Slicer attacks instead of standing in Bloody Mary's path. Elec Rings are a strong option; the older route guide also recommends being around level 25 or using appropriate magic if your normal damage is poor.

Clear the dolls first

The boss sequence begins with three doll checks. Face Ark south; when the dolls stop, strike the doll behind him to the north. Repeat the pattern, then follow the next doll's movement prompt instead of attacking at random. Finishing this calmly preserves healing and attention for the real fight.

Prepare before the portraits

Bloody Mary is a large difficulty spike. The classic route guide recommends Elec Rings and identifies level 25 as a useful threshold for players whose ordinary attacks are doing very little damage. Treat that as preparation guidance, not a mandatory rule: a clean pattern read and enough recovery matter too.

If you use magic, equip it in the Item Box before the encounter. Do not enter expecting to change your inventory halfway through the dangerous part of the fight.

Fight safely

Use the Slicer to damage her while keeping Ark mobile. Avoid committing to repeated standing attacks when she is close enough to punish the recovery. Reset to a safe position after each opening, watch the next movement, and spend a ring only when the animation will connect.

The aim is consistency. A slower cycle that avoids damage is better than an aggressive exchange that consumes all recovery before the second half of the fight.
